Marshal Bhebhe, also known as Marshal_Negus, is a young Zimbabwean director, writer, theatre practitioner, and fine artist based in South Africa. He grew up in Victoria Falls and moved to Bulawayo at the age of 13, where he studied fine arts in high school. In 2017, he moved to South Africa and then back to Zimbabwe to join a traditional and, acapella group. In 2018, he began his film career and studied film and theatre arts at Midlands State University.
Marshal currently, pursues his BA degree in motion picture arts at AFDA Film School in South Africa. Marshal writes, directs his works, enjoys collaborations with other creatives, and considers himself a team worker. As a Director, Marshal finds inspiration in his travels, consuming art, reading, and conscious interaction with his surroundings. His love for art is a burning passion, and he uses film to express his beliefs and ideas, taking a political stance in the social community. Marshal's aspiration, is to bring value, innovation, and transformation to the creative economy in his home town Victoria Falls, Zimbabwe.
